Associate Editor—MJSA Journal

MJSA, a U.S. trade association representing professional jewelry makers and designers, seeks an Associate Editor to write and edit articles for a broad range of print and digital publications in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Responsibilities will include:

  • Writing feature articles and columns for MJSA Journal, the association’s award-winning monthly magazine about the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in professional jewelry making and design.
  • Assisting with content development, editing, and proofreading of all MJSA magazines, books, newsletters, and marketing materials.
  • Overseeing the monthly development and distribution of MJSA Up to Date, the association’s monthly e-newsletter.
  • Assisting with the development and posting of content for the MJSA website and related digital publications.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a professional writer/editor/journalist, preferably for a monthly magazine; a track record of meeting deadlines and tending to details; a healthy mix of curiosity and creativity; and the ability to enjoy a good laugh now and then. A background in jewelry manufacturing is not required, although a comfort with technical topics is helpful. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a high degree of initiative, a dedication to teamwork, and a devotion to editorial excellence.
