The Reporter (3-5 years’ experience) will contribute at least three bylined articles per week, with an emphasis on breaking news to this Rocky River, Ohio-based hotel industry online news site. Other responsibilities include: suggesting industry-relevant article ideas; editing and fact checking fellow editors’ content. The Reporter will take part in staff discussions concerning the strategic direction of HNN and make contributions to special projects as needed. Limited travel required. The position reports to the Editor-in-Chief.

Required Qualifications

• College degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in journalism, communications or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree from a four-year journalism or communications program
• 3-5 years’ experience in daily news environment
• Some video editing experience
