At Putman Media, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial minded Digital Content Manager to direct one of our websites. As the key web editor for the site, you will lead the charge to make this site the preferred destination for its community.
Responsibilities include leading the overall management of content on the website. You will contribute to the growth and development of new and improved website features, lead the editorial team’s content curation strategy and execution, manage e-newsletter deployment, post articles, aggregate content and events. You will work with our team to improve user experience, and you will represent the magazine at industry events. You will be the main person for new digital strategies, and help the sales team achieve its digital revenue targets. You are familiar with the challenges of content management systems and SEO, and hitting demanding traffic targets.
Qualifies candidates will possess:
- 5+ years experience in web content development and journalism, preferably in a b-to-b environment.
- Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, excellent project and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of HTML, content management systems, and other digital media tools and standards.
- Experience with how social media and trade media interact.
- College degree, preferably with journalism concentration.
