Putman Media has an opportunity for a Managing Editor. We are a privately held B2B media firm with 70 years of experience serving the manufacturing communities. Job Summary
Responsibilities for this position include feature and column writing for both print and online, managing an integrated editorial and production workflow for a magazine and its associated web sites, copy-editing and style adherence, and gathering industry news
Education and Training
The right candidate has a journalism degree, 5+ years experience in B2B communications (preferably trade magazines), solid online experience (e.g., familiarity with web content management systems, webcasting, social media, video creation and online analytics); excellent interpersonal communications, possess a professional sense of urgency and a profound respect for the interests and needs of the readers, and be at ease with constant direct contact with the brand’s audience. Familiarity with food industry and its related fields of healthy foods and beverages, culinary art, and food sciences a plus. Some travel to industry events.
