Putman Media is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Content Director to create high-impact content and provide editorial direction for a new website and event in the industrial internet space. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and curating content in order to build global audience engagement. You will have the ability to create a brand that delivers cutting edge and relevant content positioning us as a thought leader in the industrial internet space. - Work with the Advisory Council to develop the content for the annual event and conference
- Recruit speakers for annual conference and develop the conference program
- Identify and develop content via organic development, strategic partners, and freelancers
- Identify and recruit strategic partners to collaborate in content development and co-marketing efforts
- Develop and execute content strategy with the marketing team to engage, build and nurture the target audience
- Research and write feature articles, newsletters, columns and other content
- Deliver new strategies that drive business value through content. Present ideas and thinking around content to prospective clients
- Develop and maintain strong affinity for the brand among the target audience
- Become an expert in industry trends through research and travel to trade shows, industry conferences, vendors and readers
- Recruit a network of contributors to ensure we are delivering competitive content weekly
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of 7 years’ leadership experience in content strategy, content marketing, digital editorial management and/or online publishing, current knowledge of the B2B technology industry
- Experience championing content strategy best practices
- Top-notch written and verbal communicator, the ability to write copy that grab audiences
- Strong work ethic, excellent project and time management skills, strong ability to lead, manage and inspire individuals
- Working knowledge of content management systems and digital media tools and standards
