In addition to practicing law on a daily basis, she serves pro bono as a constitutional scholar in the National Constitution Center’s teaching program, where she speaks on a variety of subjects pertaining to the U.S. Constitution, including federalism and separation of powers, the Presidency, the Bill of Rights, free speech, and more. Before attending law school, Fanizza was a newspaper reporter and editor in Florida (1977-1986), then served as a media lawyer after law school (1988-1995). She also served as an adjunct professor of political science (National Government and State and Local Government) on the junior college level, and has served in appointive and elective local government positions.
