The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) is pleased to recognize Nicole Racadag, senior managing editor at the American College of Radiology (ACR), with the 2023-24 ASBPE Diversity Fellowship.
The fellowship, which debuted in 2021-22, is offered on an annual basis and provides 12 months of career development, personalized mentoring and networking opportunities embedded within ASBPE’s membership, affiliated B2B publications and association leadership. Underpinning the program is expenses-paid participation in ASBPE’s National Conference and Azbee Awards banquet.
Racadag, the sixth ASBPE Diversity Fellow, has overseen all aspects of creating and distributing the ACR Bulletin, the ACR’s member magazine, since 2017. Under her direction, the ACR Bulletin has garnered significant recognition, including national and regional awards for writing and design from ASBPE and Communications Concepts, Inc. Her team’s September 2020 ACR Bulletin special issue on health equity was named a national and regional gold award winner by ASBPE in 2021.
Prior to joining the ACR, Racadag served in various publishing and public relations capacities at several healthcare associations in the Washington, D.C. area, including the American Chiropractic Association, the American Industrial Hygiene Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
She is an active member of ASBPE and SIIA’s Association Media & Publishing (AM&P) Network and has served on various committees including ASBPE’s social media committee. She was named an AM&P Network Emerging Leader in 2021.
Racadag has spoken before audiences at the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives and the AMPLIFY Content & Marketing Summit, and she will join ASBPE for two sessions at “Heroes of B2B Media,” the 2023 national conference.
Racadag attended the West Virginia University Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism (Reed College of Media) where she earned both an M.S. in Journalism and B.S. (Magna Cum Laude) in Public Relations.
The ASBPE diversity program’s purpose is to aid in developing a more diverse corps of journalists and leaders within the community of B2B specialty publications and to enhance overall awareness of career opportunities in the sector.
