For B2B media professionals, a magazine’s “trade show season” often means long workdays before, during and after the show. Before the show requires much planning – editors receive a surge in emails from exhibitors asking them to, “stop by the booth!” During the show, editors get hefty to-do lists: send out e-newsletters, attend keynote presentations, make videos, visit exhibitor booths and much more. After the show, editors sift through piles of content that came out of the show and share what’s relevant with their readers.
All too often, B2B media professionals stress over the chaos of trade show season. Why not change that going forward in 2018 and 2019? Megan Smalley, associate editor at Lawn & Landscape magazine, will talk about dos and don’ts she’s picked up from covering trade shows the past four years as well as tips she’s learned from other editors in B2B media.
