Winner of the 2013 ASBPE design competition
I am very happy to present Roger Greiner, winner of the 2013 ASBPE certificate competition, winning $100 and a free membership with all it’s benefits in ASBPE.
Roger graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 1987, and immediately went to work in magazine publishing, having worked in many different environments, on a wide array of magazines.
From 2004-2012, Roger was an art director at Shostak Studios where he art directed PCMA Convene magazine, an award-winning, association monthly trade publication for the meetings industry.
Some of his past experience includes working at ivillage Internet, where Roger helped transform the print version of Esquire and Car & Driver magazines to hand-held electronic devices. His experience at Scholastic and Cherry Lane Music Publishers gave him the opportunity to design for grade-school students, and Roger has 25+ years of experience designing and art directing at magazines such as New York Magazine, New York Times Magazine, and Spin Magazine; this gave him the chance to work with some of the industry’s most renowned art directors, helping him to hone his skills.
Roger has taught graphic design at the School of Visual Arts and currently teaches at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he is an adjunct professor.
