It’s been a long two years for B2B journalists, designers and editors as we navigated the realities of our industries, our companies and our careers amid a pandemic. But hope is on the horizon, and there’s no better time to get together safely to explore B2B’s Next Frontier. Join us for the in-person return of ASBPE’s National Conference and Azbee Awards of Excellence Banquet, taking place May 12-13 in Cleveland.
Benefits of Attending
We have so much to talk about!
ASBPE members have a lot to say to each other, especially after a long time hunkered down at home. We’re building even more networking time into this year’s schedule, to allow you to connect with peers, trade best practices and maybe even find your future employer.
We all need a little celebration!
The B2B community has produced groundbreaking content over the last year, covering diverse industries amid pandemic, social unrest and more. We’ll celebrate our national Azbee Awards of Excellence winners at a fun and social evening celebration on May 12.
Wait until you see the lineup!
We really are approaching a new frontier of B2B journalism, and this year’s conference speakers and topics address everything you need to thrive; offer practical, actionable ideas for improving your workflow and your publications; and share keen insights and professional advice for writers, editors, designers, publishers and everyone else involved in the B2B media industry. Don’t miss our keynote speaker, Amanda Todorovich, executive director of content marketing for the Cleveland Clinic.
Cleveland is a journalism town!
So many award-winning B2B publishing companies call Cleveland home, and for good reason. This city is fun! Our host hotel, the Aloft Cleveland Downtown, is located in the heart of the city’s revitalized dining and entertainment district, The Flats. This safe, accessible and affordable city has a lot going for it, and is a great long-weekend destination if you extend your trip.
Who Should Attend
ASBPE membership is comprised of B2B journalists, editors, designers, freelancers and other B2B media professionals based in the U.S. Our programming reflects our membership, and the Azbee Awards of Excellence honor B2B editorial and design work. We welcome both members and non-members, industry veterans and newbies alike – everyone has opportunities in B2B’s Next Frontier. We also welcome B2B publishing industry executives, like publishers and owners.

Make It an Extended Weekend
You’ll already be joining us in Cleveland’s newly revitalized riverbank entertainment district, The Flats, so why not explore beyond the walls of our host hotel, the Aloft Cleveland Downtown. Here are the best sights and things to do within a ten-minute drive of the conference venue.
- The Flats East Bank: The conference venue is right in the middle of The Flats, just steps away from the city’s best restaurants, bars, dance spots, relaxation along the Cuyahoga River, and more.
- Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum: A must-visit for everyone from the casual to the die-hard music fan. Interactive exhibits, a fantastic costume collection and more makes this a Cleveland favorite.
- The West Side Market and W. 25th Street corridor: The nation’s oldest public market, Cleveland’s West Side Market, has been operating continuously for more than 100 years. Stroll through just to see the sights, sounds and smells of a market reflecting Cleveland’s rich ethnic heritage. Grab a diner-style breakfast at the adjacent West Side Market Café to taste the food in action. The market anchors Cleveland’s W. 25th Street corridor, which offers an array of restaurants, bars and fun shops. Home to the famous Great Lakes Brewery.
- Gordon Square Arts District: This walkable West Side neighborhood features small businesses that typify Cleveland’s history and work ethic. Start at one end with Flight Wine Bar, then cross the street to Cleveland’s most famous hot dog bar/music venue, The Happy Dog. Keep going for independent coffee shops, a pinball parlor, a donuts-and-beer joint, indie movie theater, boutiques, restaurants and more. This neighborhood supports many LGBTQ+ and women/minority-owned businesses.
