ASBPE Cohorts: Your Professional Inner Circle

Real talk. Real solutions. Peer-to-peer networking with members who actually understand your day-to-day.

As a B2B media professional, you face unique challenges that general journalism groups don’t always address. That’s why ASBPE created Cohorts: continuous, role-based networking groups designed to give you a “brain trust” of peers who do exactly what you do.

Why Join a Cohort?

While other professional organizations charge hundreds of dollars for “mastermind” groups or editorial councils, ASBPE Cohorts are a free benefit for our members.

  • Peer-to-Peer Support: Discuss your work-related demands and challenges with people who “get it.”
  • A Safe Space: These monthly meetings are off-the-record, allowing for honest conversation about industry trends, workplace hurdles and new ideas.
  • Expert Facilitation: Each group has a dedicated facilitator to steer the conversation and ensure every meeting is productive and high-value.
  • Role-Specific Insights: Gain perspectives from peers across different B2B publications who share your specific job title.

Which Group Is Right for You?

We offer Cohorts for every stage and specialty within the B2B media landscape:

  • Academic
  • Art Director / Designer
  • Audience Engagement
  • Editor
  • Editorial Manager (For those who manage other editors)
  • Editorial Director (Including EIC and Executive Editor roles)
  • Event Management
  • Freelance Editor / Writer
  • Multimedia
  • Reporter / Writer

How to Join

Joining a Cohort is simple, but space is limited to keep groups intimate and conversational.

  1. Apply: Complete our online sign-up form.
  2. Placement: If space is available in a current group, we will connect you with the facilitator.
  3. Waitlist/New Launch: If current groups are full, we’ll place you on a priority list. Once enough members for your role express interest, we’ll launch a brand-new group.
